Advertising With 2D Projections

Published by

Here at BillboardsIn, we’re big fans of traditional out of home advertising (billboards are in our name, after all!)—but we’re also big into new, exciting advertising formats as well. One of our current faves is 2D projection advertising, which allows you to display your message in a show-stopping way. Let’s dive into how it works, as well as some of the perks of this ad format.

What is 2D Advertising, and how does it work?

2D advertising is a big and bold advertising format that cannot be missed. It is a giant projection that can be displayed on the side of any building that has a flat wall. 2D projection ads are displayed for three consecutive nights on a building of your choice (no permit is required either, so getting started is easy!). You can display static images, or utilize videos to mix it up—projecting a scannable QR code is one way to make the most of this advertising style. 2D ads allow you to stand out among the competition.

Why would I use this ad format?

2D projection advertising has loads of perks; one of them is that it is perfect for advertising in areas where billboard advertising is sparse. As we mentioned above, all you need to get started is a building with a flat wall—so the possibilities of where to advertise are endless! You aren’t confined to the select spaces where billboards are located, so you can get specific with where you’re placing your ad.

And as you may imagine, there’s no need for printing and production time and cost…so it’s easy to get started! Since 2D ads are all digital, running multiple creatives is a breeze, too.

Lastly, these ads are absolutely unmistakable. These giant and bright designs on the sides of large buildings are easy to spot by pedestrians and drivers alike—so you are sure to garner attention.
